Single Beds

A UK single is 3ft wide by 6ft 3 long (90 × 190cm). These frames are the Bedwick models actually offered in that size — adult upholstered beds, the Solara TV bed, and the three children’s beds. Several larger statement models in the catalogue skip single altogether.

Who a 3ft bed is for
A single is the usual choice for a child’s room, a box room, or a spare room that also has to take a desk. One adult can sleep comfortably; two will not. If the room can take another 30cm of width, a small double (4ft) is a more useful guest bed without jumping to a full double.
The frames here follow the same made-to-order upholstery as the rest of the range. Ottoman storage is worth considering in a child’s room: the void under the mattress holds spare bedding that would otherwise need a cupboard.
What is not in this grid
Models that start at small double — including several of the larger designer frames and most TV beds — will not appear here. If you are set on a particular headboard, check that product’s size list rather than assuming every Bedwick bed comes in 3ft.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a UK single bed?
3ft × 6ft 3 (90cm × 190cm). Frame outer measurements are slightly larger; the product page lists those in inches for each model.
Is a single wide enough for an adult?
Yes, for one adult. It is not a couple’s size. A small double is the next step if you want extra width in a still-compact room.
Do you make kids’ beds in single?
Yes. Blossom, Bliss and Aurora are all offered in single as well as small double and double.
