Super King Size Beds

◆
Super King Size Beds — Bedwick

A UK super king is 6ft × 6ft 6 (180 × 200cm). It is as long as a king and a full 2ft wider than a single. Use it where the room can take a wide frame and you actually want two adults to sleep without a seam down the middle of the mattress.

A master-bedroom size, not a default

Super king is for rooms that already feel generous: space for two full-size bedside tables, and a clear path around the foot. The mattress is the same length as a king (6ft 6) so the gain is all in width. Couples who like to read on opposite sides, or who share the bed with a child in the morning, notice that width immediately.

Not every Bedwick frame is listed in 6ft — check the product if you have a favourite headboard. Children’s beds are not made in this size.

Practical extras at this scale

Ottoman storage is particularly useful under a super king because the void is large, but the lid is heavier and needs a proper lift path. TV beds at this size make more sense than they do in a box room: the footboard has the width to carry a screen without dominating a narrow wall.

You will need super-king bedding. A king duvet will look short on the sides. If you are unsure the room can take 180cm plus tables, stay on king — it is already longer than a double.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a UK super king bed?

6ft wide by 6ft 6 long (180cm × 200cm). Width is the difference from king (5ft); length is the same.

Will it fit in a typical UK bedroom?

Only if that bedroom is already wide. Measure wall-to-wall and subtract two bedside tables. If a king currently leaves little walking space, super king will feel jammed.

Can I get a TV bed in super king?

Yes. Super king is listed on the TV bed models.
